Historic and inspiring
The historic Le Morne Brabant mountain was named a World Heritage Site in 2008; in the 18th and 19th centuries escaped slaves used the mountain as a place to hide, and it’s still regarded as a symbol of freedom. Since opening to the public in 2016, there are now guides available to lead avid hikers and nature-enthusiasts to the summit, to take in the breathtaking views and explore the numerous caves.
If you prefer to take your exercise at less elevation, the Paradis Beachcomber, located on the tip of the peninsula, has its very own golf course. Perfect for both the uninitiated and seasoned pros, the Paradis Golf Academy is here to support anyone taking to the greens and fairways, which make up what is hailed as the most beautiful golf course in Mauritius.
Making the most of the beautiful Le Morne lagoon, the action can continue out onto the water, as the Dinarobin Beachcomber offers guests a chance to take classes at its kitesurfing school. Or, if you’re looking for a more scenic aquatic experience, you can take in the wonderful optical illusion of Mauritius’ ‘underwater waterfall’, just off of the coast. Whales and dolphins can also be spotted in Le Morne waters, with small pods of bottle-nosed dolphins coming right into the lagoon.
Both the Dinarobin Beachcomber and Paradis Beachcomber offer a range of rooms, suites and villas to accommodate any kind of travel party. Due to the secluded nature of the peninsula, and the coveted adults-only Dinarobin Zen suites, our Le Morne hotels are popular with couples looking to create lasting memories.
If the southwest coast of Mauritius is calling to you, be it for action and adventure or rest and relaxation, we have the resort to fit your needs. Explore our hotels at Le Morne and book your dream break today.
